klebriges | sticky stuff

| During the renovation of our bathroom I came across several of those sticky spots where the former owners of our house had placed "gorgeous" plastic hooks and similar decorative stuff. No way of making them dissapear with normal detergents. But a great way of using some of my essential oils with expired due date. As I teach aromatherapy I have to provide my students with fresh essential oils constantly, meaning the oils of citrus fruits and of conifers as they have only a limited shelf life of maximum 18 months (after opening the flask). After that they shouldn't come into contact with skin. In case of very sensitive skin even before that date.

| Just pour a few drops of neat orange essential oil (that's the best choice but lemon, mandarine, grapefruit, fir and pine will do the job nearly as good) over the nasty stains, leave it for a few minutes and then rub with a bit of newspaper. Polish with a clean cloth or high quality kitchen tissue and the tile, mirror, window looks like new. Just don't use essential oils with plastics as the main constituent (monoterpenes) can dissolve them.
